About

Life takes us on many unexpected twists and turns. No matter how hard-working, tough or intelligent we are – none of us can get it right all of the time. Things start building up and we don’t notice it When we finally do fail, it hurts. We are shocked and caught unaware. Our lives have started a transition that we are not ready for. We begin to judge ourselves harshly and feel we are less than what we should be. This is when we need help. Counseling can give us that fresh perspective. It helps us look at each crisis as an opportunity, to find even better directions for ourselves and for our loved ones.

I specialize in helping adults ages 18+, navigate through these times of transition. This could be a divorce, death, or illness. It can also mean the stress of adjusting to positive events of a new job, relationship, or child. Much of the time when these changes happen, old, forgotten wounds and unresolved issues are triggered inside of us.

As a social worker of over 23 years, I take a highly integrative and holistic approach to counseling, looking at all aspects of your life. I provide a hands-on, solution focused approach, creating long-lasting changes. Good therapy comes from a collaborative, interactive partnership that is patient-driven and therapist-guided. As you learn, grow and discover more about yourself, the treatment modalities we use will also change. I offer anger and stress management counseling. I treat a variety of anxiety, mood, and addictive disorders. I work with people struggling with depression and low self-esteem.
Relationship counseling is also available.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things to do. It takes great strength and courage to admit “I can no longer do this on my own.” As a counselor, I provide a dignified, safe, and non-judgmental space where you no longer have to bear burdens alone. My goal is to make stepping outside your comfort zone a rewarding and healing experience with each session.
