About

Life can be hard, full of changes, challenges, and transitions. Learning how to ride the waves of emotions life presents to us can become overpowering leaving us feeling out of control. Life experiences shape our beliefs about who we are and our place in the world. As a result, many of the life experiences we endure can lead to our perceptions of ourselves and our reality to become distorted. Oftentimes, leaving many of us feeling trapped, stuck in the past or worried about the future. Making it difficult for us to effectively cope in the present moment and decide which path to take moving forward without making matters worse. Since emotions can feel intense, confusing and overwhelming, again and again we find ourselves attempting to block them out. Instead of allowing ourselves to experience and fully listen to them so they can help guide us in the most optimal direction for ourselves. The way we feel can lead us to engage in harmful and destructive behaviors, in return leading us to unintentionally create more suffering and confusion for ourselves. Often, people come to therapy looking for someone to provide them the answers to navigate their life, not realizing within themselves they already have the wisdom that is needed in order to achieve the life they desire to live.

In my practice I utilize a trauma-informed, person centered approach to help guide the work that I do with individuals 18+. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, substance use and life adjustments. I am trained in multiple evidence based modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing.

It is my goal during our work together to help you learn how to fully and effectively sit and listen to your emotions and tap into the inner wisdom that you already possess. Together we will work to help you learn how to trust your own guidance so you can move forward and achieve the life you desire to experience. During our time together it is my mission to provide a safe non-judgmental space where we can work together to clarify your values and goals in order to help assist you in finding your inner wisdom to overcome, survive and thrive. Together we will work towards building essential tools and skills that help to fit your unique needs so you can identify the best path for you to achieve your most optimal and fulfilling life
