About

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of New York and currently obtaining
her Certification for Perinatal Mental Health. As a Bangladeshi- American, I have a particular interest and expertise in the BIPOC community and providing quality care for the immigrant and refugee population. Some of my unique qualifications and experiences encompass a focus on women’s health and perinatal mood disorders.

I am also trained in Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and has experience working as a Person Centered Therapist, and Family Therapist. I completed her Bachelors in Social Work at Buffalo State College and Masters in Social Work at Fordham University.

As a member of the South Asian community, I know first hand understanding of how it feels being misunderstood. Thus, it became my goal to assist others to overcome the stigma and shame when obtaining their care for mental health. To also provide a pathway for individuals, to be heard and feel truly valued.
