” Perhaps the biggest tragedy of our lives is that freedom is possible, yet we can pass our years trapped in the same old patterns. “

About
Welcome! I’m glad you are taking this step for yourself. Whatever has brought you here, reaching out for support can often be one of the hardest and bravest things you can do. As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand that every individual’s journey is unique and deserves to be met with empathy and compassion. With a person-centered approach, I prioritize your autonomy, strengths, and experiences as we navigate through your healing process together.
My strengths lie in working with adults, particularly LGBTQ+ folks, and I have experience with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, grief and loss, navigating significant life events, sex and relationships, and trauma. I understand the importance for comprehensive care for queer and trans people, and aim to be a safe person to explore all of these topics with.
My therapeutic style is rooted in creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where you can feel comfortable to explore your emotions and experiences openly. I use an eclectic approach to therapy based on your needs, drawing upon the pillars of trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and harm reduction to tailor our sessions to fit you. I am also trained in Progressive Counting, and believe that addressing traumatic experiences can be an important piece to furthering one’s growth.
Trauma does not define who we are or who we can become. I am here to support you as you reclaim your sense of safety, empowerment, and resilience. Through evidence-based practices and a deep commitment to your well-being, we will work collaboratively to uncover coping strategies, foster self compassion, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. If this feels like a good fit for you, please reach out and we can get started.
