” Talk to yourself like you would talk to someone you love. “

About
Life inevitably presents us with challenges that can overwhelm our capacity to cope. The ending of a relationship, becoming a parent, changes at work, moving, or saying goodbye to someone we love can swamp our ability to successfully navigate changes in our lives. It can be during these stressful times that you become more aware of unhelpful patterns that are no longer helpful. My goal as a therapist is to help you to become more aware of how past hurts, present stress, and future fears may all be impacting your relationship with yourself and the world around you. Therapy provides a way to heal wounds that may be invisible to those around you.
I have decades of experience working with individuals and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, conflict, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is collaborative. I hear your story, and help you to develop skills and insight into the patterns that keep us stuck. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness to assist you in developing a different relationship with your life. Trusting me through your journey is a privilege I take very seriously, and I would like to work with you. Taking the step of reaching out to a therapist is the first step on the path of wellness. I look forward to hearing from you!
