” Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are. “

About
We may experience things in our lives that feel like they change who we are and our view of the world. As a result, we may feel loneliness, distrust, anger, sadness, numbness, shame, and guilt. We may not allow ourselves to experience the wide range of human emotions and limit our connection with others as a way to protect ourselves. I believe that people are resilient, able to heal from trauma and can reconnect with their authentic, genuine selves.
I practice from a person-centered and trauma-informed care approach, believing that we each have our own unique experiences that have shaped who we are today. I specialize in treating post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, grief, and addiction by utilizing evidence-based practices including EMDR, DBT, Schema Work, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. I believe that there is importance in the utilization of evidence-based practices along with good therapeutic rapport where we feel safe, heard, and validated allowing for effective therapy to happen. I have the belief that people can heal from tough things and I am grateful to be able to be a part of that process.
