Susan Flanagan is a Licensed Master Social Worker who provides compassionate, person-centered counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. With more than 25 years of experience in the human services field, Susan brings a deep understanding of how life challenges, trauma, and stress can affect emotional well-being.
Susan works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and other life challenges. She creates a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. Her counseling approach is holistic and strengths-based, recognizing the connection between emotional health, life experiences, family systems, and environmental factors.
Susan helps clients build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and develop practical strategies for managing stress and improving overall well-being. She believes that healing often happens through a combination of self-awareness, skill-building, and supportive relationships.
With extensive experience through her work with the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Susan values coordinated care and collaboration. She works with families and, when appropriate, other providers to ensure individuals receive comprehensive support that addresses their full range of needs. Susan earned her Master of Social Work in Health and Disability from the University at Buffalo and is committed to creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to work toward healing, resilience, and meaningful personal growth.
